Hi there, I’m Barbie, the owner and designer behind The Quilting Mill! I’ve loved sewing since I was a little girl, and I made my first quilt as a teenager. After studying Family and Consumer Science in college, I spent seven years teaching in public schools; however, my heart remained close to quilting.
In 2012, I took the leap into hand-guided longarm quilting. A few years later, I added a computerized quilting system to my studio, which opened up a whole new world of possibilities. That’s when I fell in love with designing digital pantographs, and I’ve been creating and teaching pantograph design ever since.
Today, I live in beautiful Utah with my family and am an active member of the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild. Whether I’m quilting for clients or helping fellow quilters explore new designs, I’m passionate about making the quilting process fun, creative, and approachable.
